Cory Patterson is one of the superheroes supporting Axis Health System’s vaccination clinics.
As Axis Health System’s Project Manager for COVID-19 Vaccinations, he leaped in to develop a fast, efficient online scheduling system. Patterson is also the friendly voice on the other end of the phone when people want to speak to a live person about vaccinations. Patterson’s skills are well-matched to the fast-paced coordination of vaccine shipments to our region; but he also takes time with each caller to explain vaccination scheduling options and make sure people understand the process.
“I enjoy the new challenges I get to tackle every day,” he said.
In addition to the critical role of scheduling vaccinations, Patterson also coordinates logistics at the vaccination venue, works with Axis medical providers, and supports staff and volunteers during the clinics.
Before his role in the vaccination clinics, Cory worked as a Teletherapy Program Assistant. He worked with patients who did not have the ability to do teletherapy from home, making sure they got connected to Axis providers and coaching them on how to navigate the new technology. This important service helped increase access to critical mental health support during the pandemic.
