Chrisie Stacey, a receptionist at Archuleta Integrated Healthcare, poses with her dog, Raney, to show support for the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs’ Virtual Auction for the Animals on July 3. Stacey said Raney was adopted from HSPS about three years ago.

Pagosa Springs residents are ready to reconnect this summer.

As pandemic restrictions loosen on public events, Axis Health System’s Archuleta Integrated Healthcare clinic is happy to support three community events this summer. These gatherings are an opportunity to dust off your social skills, understand the importance of face-to-face interactions for mental health, and have fun together.

Rise Above Violence Mental Health Awareness Walk: Axis was a Gold Sponsor of this May 22 event, a mile-long peace march that started in Town Park and ended at Yamagucci Park. The goal was to continue the effort to end the stigma around mental health in the community. For more information about Rise Above Violence, visit their website. At the end of the walk, an Axis team shared resources from an interactive booth with a spinning prize wheel and fun giveaways.

Curtains Up Pagosa! production of “Cinderella”: Archuleta Integrated Healthcare’s Clinic Manager Ricardo Martinez and his wife are volunteers for Curtains Up Pagosa!, which strengthens Pagosa’s youth through the performing arts and volunteer adult mentorship. Archuleta Integrated Healthcare supports youth mental health and a safe and creative space for actors to thrive. The clinic team is a sponsor of the upcoming late-June production of “Cinderella” with an ad in the program guide. For tickets to the show, visit the Curtains Up Pagosa! website.

Virtual Auction for the Animals & Pet Fashion Show: On July 3, tune in from the comfort of your own home – from anywhere in the world – and enjoy an evening of virtual entertainment featuring a silent auction and a pet fashion show in support of the Humane Society of Pagosa Springs. Check out the event page and register your pet to be in the fashion show. The staff of Archuleta Integrated Healthcare donated a basket of canine goodies worth $150 themed “Go for a Walk.” The staff hopes this basket motivates auction participants and their fur babies to get outside and have fun exercising together. In late June, check out the staff posing with their pooches on the clinic’s Facebook page.

Axis Health System is open to opportunities to share resources at live events in Southwest Colorado. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable teams can tailor materials to specific events and community needs. For more information, email ksluis@axishealthsystem.org.
