Pagosa Springs, CO: Axis Health System is pleased to introduce Jeanne Marotta, Family Nurse Practitioner, to the community. Jeanne is accepting new patients of all ages at Archuleta Integrated Healthcare. Appointments are available for booking now, in advance of her Oct. 7 start date, by calling 970.264.2104.

Jeanne was born in Gillette, Wyoming, and is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. She obtained her Masters in Nursing at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and completed her Nurse Practitioner training in New Mexico. Jeanne has 18 years’ experience in the field, with a special interest in Rural Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. She lives in Pagosa Springs with her husband and son.

Archuleta Integrated Healthcare (AIH) is located at 52 Village Drive, behind City Market. AIH offers primary healthcare across all life stages, including: wellness visits, family healthcare, immunizations and chronic illness management. Same-day sick visits are available. The clinic accepts a variety of payment options, including Medicare, Medicaid, CHP+ and most private insurance. A sliding-fee scale is available for those who qualify. Behavioral healthcare is also offered at AIH, including counseling, substance use treatment, psychiatric evaluation and medication management.

Jeanne is excited about the clinic’s integrated healthcare model. “I have always believed healthcare encompasses much more than the medical aspects of a person. It is the inclusion of body, mind and life circumstance,” she said. “Caring for a person involves caring for each aspect, both independently and as a whole.”

Axis Health System provides quality healthcare across the lifespan in Montezuma, Dolores, La Plata, San Juan and Archuleta counties. AHS has seven locations in Southwest Colorado and offers primary, behavioral and oral healthcare, and crisis response and stabilization. www.AXIShealthsystem.org
