Axis Health System Welcomes Physician Assistant Korby Howell to Cortez Integrated Healthcare
Cortez, Colorado. – Axis Health System is pleased to announce the addition of Korby Howell, PA-C, to the medical team at Cortez Integrated Healthcare, where he will provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages.
Howell brings more than seven years of experience in family medicine and addiction treatment, with a special focus on integrating mental and physical health care. Before joining Axis, Howell practiced at Marshfield Medical Center in Michigan, where he founded and directed a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program supporting patients with substance use disorders. In addition to his clinical work, he has served as clinical faculty for the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS-Boston) and Carroll University, mentoring physician assistant students pursuing careers in family and behavioral health medicine.
“I believe it’s important to focus on the whole person when providing health care,” Howell said. “In family medicine, we have a unique opportunity to develop long-term relationships with our patients and their families. Building trust is what allows us to deliver high-quality, personalized care.”
Howell received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
