Dr. Fredi Prochoda

Dr. Fredi Prochoda is the Medical Director of Psychiatry for Axis Health System. She has provided psychiatric services to patients across the lifespan in most available psychiatric settings, including owning her own practice for 7 years. She really enjoys working with patients of all ages, and has also enjoyed a number of years working in medical administration as a medical director. She has taught at multiple universities and has been a clinical instructor for NP/MD/DO students off and on for many years.

Dr. Fredi has 3 undergraduate degrees which include a BA in Psychology, BS in Science (pre-med), and BS in Nursing. She graduated with honors from the University of Colorado where she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing in family practice, and completed a postgraduate masters degree in psychiatry. She has dual licenses and board certifications for both Family Practice (FNP) and Family Psychiatry (FPMHNP), and she is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), with a specialty in Psychiatry.

Dr. Fredi’s personal time is spent mostly outdoors around her Colorado mountain property, with her husband and dogs. She is an amateur photographer, seasoned motorcycle rider, and avid reader.
