Norwood, CO – Axis Health System is pleased to announce a series of events to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, all aimed at promoting mental well-being and increasing access to vital resources for the Norwood community.
Enrollment Screenings
On Thursday, May 1, from 8 AM to 11 AM, Axis Health System’s Norwood office at 1605 Grand Avenue will offer walk-in mental health enrollment and screenings. These screenings are available for individuals aged four and older, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors aged 60+. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with a Behavioral Health or Peer Specialist, access referrals for a variety of mental health services, and receive support for conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, substance use, parenting challenges, PTSD, and more.
‘Art at Axis’ Interactive Social Events
Axis Health System is also hosting two free ‘Art at Axis’ events on Thursday, May 8, and Thursday, May 15, from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, for adults aged 18 and older. These interactive gatherings provide a safe, welcoming space for community members to create art, relax, and connect with one another. All art supplies will be provided.
Whether you’re seeking help or simply looking for a creative outlet, Mental Health Awareness Month is the perfect opportunity to engage in activities that foster connection and support.
