Stephanie Higgins, MSN, FNP-BC

Stephanie Higgins, MSN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner proudly serving the Cortez, CO, community. A Cortez native, Stephanie is deeply committed to giving back to the town where she was raised and providing compassionate, high-quality care to her neighbors and friends. She accepts patients of all ages. 

Her journey in healthcare began in high school, when she completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program through Pueblo Community College. She went on to earn her Associate Degree in Nursing from San Juan College in 2016 and began her career as a Registered Nurse at the local hospital. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and transitioned into nephrology nursing, where she provided essential care to patients undergoing dialysis.
Through her experiences as a nurse, Stephanie recognized a growing need for primary care providers in the area and felt compelled to make a greater impact. In 2023, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University in Boston, MA, and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their two children, and their two dogs. Her hobbies include cheering on her kids at sporting events, staying active at the gym, traveling, reading, and baking.
