Axis Health System has an important change regarding your behavioral health insurance coverage.
After extensive negotiations, Axis Health System and Evernorth were unable to reach agreement on contract terms that would support the long-term sustainability of providing high-quality behavioral health services. As a result, effective July 10, 2026, Axis Health System is no longer a participating provider in the Evernorth Behavioral Health network.
We understand that changes to insurance networks can be frustrating, and we want to help you understand your options.
You are welcome to continue receiving behavioral health services at Axis. We will continue to submit claims to your Evernorth plan on your behalf whenever possible. However, because Axis is no longer an in-network provider, Evernorth may pay a reduced amount or may not cover your services. Depending on your specific plan and any available out-of-network benefits, you may be responsible for some or all of the cost of your care.
We Encourage You to Contact Evernorth To:
- Confirm your out-of-network benefits.
- Understand your potential financial responsibility.
- Ask whether you qualify for continuity of care benefits if you are currently receiving treatment.
- Request assistance locating an in-network provider if you choose to transition your care.
If you value the care you receive at Axis and wish to continue your treatment with us, we also encourage you to let Evernorth know that maintaining access to your current provider is important to you. Patient feedback helps insurance companies understand the importance of preserving access to local behavioral health services.
Please know that our commitment to your care has not changed. Our providers and staff remain dedicated to supporting your behavioral health needs and will work with you to help you understand your options during this transition.
