About Korby Howell, MPAS, PA-C

Korby was born in Sandy, Utah, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Utah Valley University, where he also received an Associate of Science in Biology with High Honors. He went on to complete his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts.

Korby brings over seven years of experience in family medicine to Axis, including work in primary care, urgent care, and addiction medicine. Prior to joining Axis, he served as a Physician Assistant at Marshfield Medical Center in Michigan, where he provided both clinic and emergency coverage and founded a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. In that role, he developed treatment protocols, supervised quality assurance, and trained other providers in addiction medicine and behavioral health integration.

In addition to his clinical practice, Korby has served as clinical faculty for both MCPHS-Boston and Carroll University, mentoring and precepting physician assistant students in family medicine and behavioral health. He has also contributed to national initiatives as a steering committee member with Intra-Cellular Therapeutics, promoting improved access to mental health care in primary care and rural communities.

Korby’s clinical interests include mental health, addiction treatment, diabetes and preventive care, sports medicine, and pediatric care.
Originally from Utah, Korby and his wife, Miranda, now make their home in Cortez with their four children. When he’s not in clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors, skiing, camping, biking, hunting, and fishing, and is passionate about athletics and community service.
