About Marissa Lampe, LSW

Marissa Lampe, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) at the Axis Clinic in Telluride, brings a wealth of experience in a broad spectrum of social services to her therapeutic role at Axis. Her professional journey encompasses crisis intervention, advocacy, case management, community engagement, awareness-raising, and both individual and group therapy. Prior to pursuing her graduate studies at the University of Denver (DU), Marissa served as a victim’s advocate for the San Miguel Resource Center. During her time at DU, she honed her clinical skills through internships at a private practice and a farm-based therapy program. In June 2023, she earned her Master’s in Social Work and a certificate in Human-Animal-Interactions in Social Work Practices.

Joining Axis Health System in November 2023 marked Marissa’s return to the Western Slope, where she is excited to contribute to a dedicated working environment that utilizes an integrated health model to support community members in achieving their mental health goals.

Marissa is deeply committed to promoting mental health and well-being, guided by her belief in every individual’s inherent strengths and resilience. She dedicates herself to supporting clients as they navigate adversity and trauma, facilitating the rediscovery and access to their unique strengths. Marissa’s approach is holistic, addressing both external and internal life stressors, and she actively encourages clients to cultivate social support networks and leverage available resources to meet their needs. 

Her practice is characterized by inclusivity and support, ensuring that every client feels heard, respected, validated, and empowered as the expert of their own lived experiences. Marissa employs a strengths-based, assets-focused approach, integrating therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CBT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.

Specializing in assisting individuals affected by domestic and sexual abuse, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and addiction, Marissa’s dedication lies in helping clients overcome barriers and fostering a path to healing.

Marissa is currently seeing Medicaid and self-pay or sliding-fee clients.
