On Aug. 31, 2021, President Biden declared September as National Recovery Month.

According to the proclamation: “We celebrate the millions of Americans who have achieved recovery and reaffirm our commitment to helping more Americans overcome substance use disorder and reach recovery. We also support those who are still struggling to achieve recovery and dedicate ourselves to overcoming these challenges together.”

Axis Health System supports this proclamation and is taking action to promote recovery and improve the health of our communities. We offer comprehensive Substance Use Treatment options. Our staff works tirelessly to make treatment and recovery support services accessible to our communities. Sometimes it can be challenging to understand the range of specific treatments and services, so the Axis team put together a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Graphic to help the public see our services at a glance.

Axis offers treatment based on the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) standards using a multi-dimensional screening tool to determine the needs of the whole person. To access our services, call the Axis location nearest you and ask about our “SUD” programs. You will be directed to a trained Peer Navigator, who will learn more about your needs and schedule you with the appropriate Axis clinician. The clinician will then complete an assessment to establish the level of care that is right for your needs.

To learn more, visit the Substance Use Treatment page on the Axis website.
